  • about 18 miles from Boston's Logan Airport
  • located at the intersection of I-95 and Route 2
  • a short bus ride from the Alewife MBTA subway stop
  • on the Minuteman Bikeway, which starts at the Alewife MBTA subway stop

  • Airport - by car or by public transportation
  • Boston - by car or by public transportation
  • North - by car
  • West - by car
  • South - by car

Getting to Lexington Center from Boston's Logan Airport

By Car:
There are many ways to go through and around Boston to get to Lexington - take a look at Google Maps. This is the most straightforward, although not the shortest:

  • Take Route 90, the Massachusetts Turnpike (Mass Pike), which is a toll road - look for the Pilgrim Hat logo
  • Take exit 15 to I-95 North (Routh 128 North) toward Waltham
  • Take exit 30A to Route 2A East, Marrett Road, in Lexington
  • To get to Lexington Center, take a left at the traffic light at Waltham Street
  • Waltham Street ends at Lexington Center

By Public Transportation:
Go to mbta.com for subway and bus routes and schedules - they even have a trip planner

  • Take the Silver Line to South Station
  • Take the Red Line to Alewife
  • Take an MBTA bus - 62, 67 or 76 - to Lexington

Getting to Lexington Center from Boston

By car:

  • From Storrow Drive or Memorial Drive, get on Fresh Pond Parkway (which becomes Alewife Brook Parkway) and get onto Route 2, which goes through Lexington.
  • Massachusetts Avenue (Mass Ave) starts in Dorchester, goes through Boston, Cambridge, North Cambridge and Arlington before going through Lexington Center. It's not the fastest route, though — lots of lights.

By Public Transportation:

  • Take the Red Line to Alewife
  • Take an MBTA bus - 62, 67 or 76 - to Lexington

Getting to Lexington Center from the North

  • Take Route 3 or Route 93 South to I-95 South (Route 128 South)
  • Take exit 31A to Route 4, Bedford Street
  • Bedford Street merges into Massachusetts Avenue (Mass Ave) in Lexington Center

Getting to Lexington Center from the West

From Route 90, the Massachusetts Turnpike (Mass Pike):

  • Take exit 14 to I-95 North (Routh 128 North) toward Waltham
  • Take exit 30A to Route 2A East, Marrett Road, in Lexington
  • Take a left at the traffic light at Waltham Street
  • Waltham Street ends at Lexington Center

From Route 2:

  • Take exit 52 and turn right onto Concord Avenue
  • Turn right onto Spring Street
  • Bear right onto Marrett Road
  • Take a left at the traffic light at Waltham Street
  • Waltham Street ends at Lexington Center

Getting to Lexington Center from the South

  • From Route 3 North or Route 24 North, take I-93 South
  • Take I-95 North
  • Take exit 30A to Route 2A East, Marrett Road, in Lexington
  • Take a left at the traffic light at Waltham Street
  • Waltham Street ends at Lexington Center
