DESCRIPTION:The Middlesex Conservation District will be holding its Spring Plant Sale and cash sale on Friday\, May 1\, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM\, and Saturday\, May 2\, from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Minuteman High School. The address is 758 Marrett Road\, Lexington\, MA 02421.\nThis event is open to people of Middlesex County\, Massachusetts and surrounding areas. Plants and products must be picked up in person.\nAll items can be pre-ordered through April 24th and picked up on the sale days – we encourage early ordering as all items are sold on a first come\, first served basis. Offerings include native shrub seedlings\, wildflowers\, ferns\, grasses\, and hardgoods such as garden labels. All plants are straight\, native species that benefit our native pollinators\, wildlife\, and local ecosystem.\nSome of the plants we are offering include northern maidenhair fern\, culver’s root\, closed gentian\, foam flower\, lance-leaf coreopsis\, narrow-leaved blue-eyed grass (a wildflower)\, little bluestem\, American cranberry bush\, cardinal flower\, narrowleaf evening primrose\, Pennsylvania sedge\, red columbine\, red-osier dogwood\, and spotted beebalm.\nThe Middlesex Conservation District is a not-for-profit environmental agency whose purpose is conservation of natural resources of Middlesex County.
