DESCRIPTION:Lexington Pops Chorus presents “Songs of Liberty: Echoes of 1775”\, celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord. \nThis concert features:\n– “Testament of Freedom” by Randall Thompson\n– “An American Trilogy” arr.by Mark Hayes\n– “Missa Brevis St.Joannis de Deo” by Joseph Haydn\n– “Dear Theodosia” from Hamilton by Lin-Manuel Miranda\n– “Sleep” by Eric Whitacre\n– “Five Hebrew Love Songs” by Eric Whitacre\n– “Les Miserables” arr. by Ed Lojeski\nAnd more! \nBecause of construction\, this concert will be held at a new location\, not far from Hancock Church. Join us Friday\, May 16th\, 7:30 pm and Sunday\, May 18th\, 3:00 pm at The Pilgrim Congregational Church\, 55 Coolidge Ave. in Lexington. Concert tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Tickets may be purchased at the door\, from members or online at www.LexPops.org (online service charge applies). EBT and WIC card holders may obtain free tickets by emailing Treasurer@LexPops.org. Please check our website\, www.LexPops.org\, for any questions or leave a message with Roseann at 781-365-0576. \nLexington Pops Chorus is in its 43rd season and enjoys the enthusiasm of singers from over 20 towns. Maxwell Evrard is the chorus’s dynamic conductor. David Owens\, accompanist\, is in his 21st season with the chorus. Lexington Pops Chorus is a member of The Greater Boston Choral Consortium. \nFor singers interested in joining us in September\, we hold two free open rehearsals usually at Hancock Church\, 1912 Mass Ave Lexington (on the Green). We welcome new singers at the beginning of each semester. Auditions are not required\, but singers must be able to read music. We sing a wide variety of music\, including classical\, jazz\, blues\, folk\, Broadway and more. Please check our website www.LexPops.org for changes and details. DESCRIPTION:LexMedia will hold its Annual Meeting on May 20th at 6:30pm at Brookhaven in Lexington. The evening will feature special guest speaker Brittany McCarthy of Boston 25. The evening will also include the installation of new board members\, a report from the co-chairs\, and an annual treasurer’s report.\nBrittany will discuss the various components of producing local news programming and her role as business development manager at Boston 25. There will be a short period of questions and answers following her presentation.\nLexMedia members\, friends\, and the general public are invited to attend. LexMedia’s Executive Director\, Florence DelSanto\, and the Board of Directors will review the past year\, honor staff achievements\, and look ahead with members\, staff\, and community members. There will also be an opportunity for LexMedia members and the public to give feedback and share ideas. Refreshments will be served.Hope to see you there! \nAbout Brittany McCarthy\nBrittany McCarthy has been at Boston 25 for 12 years. She started as a writer before moving up to Morning News Producer. She then became Creative Production Manager\, followed by Executive Producer and Zip Trip Coordinator and Promotions Manager. She’s now Boston 25’s Business Development Manager.
