SUMMARY:Contradictions of Freedom - Quilt Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Sisters in Stitches Joined by the Cloth are a guild of textile artists\, dedicated to preserving the art\, history and culture of African American quilt-making. Contradictions of Freedom is an exhibition of their work\, coinciding with the 250th anniversary of the start of the American Revolution. \nSisters in Stitches Joined by the Cloth celebrate culture\, color\, design\, and tradition which was formally established in 1997. The Guild meets every third Saturday of each month to sew\, share ideas and techniques\, and celebrate our love of quilting. Our first meeting took place at the Old Town Hall in Randolph\, Massachusetts before moving to the Quilters Compass in Quincy and then at the First Congregational Church in Randolph. \nThe Exhibit is free and open to the public.
