We are incredibly excited to officially open our first set of studio spaces in Lexington\, MA\, and you’re invited to share in this momentous occasion with all of us at Bloch Performing Arts (BPA)! Because of our growing student base\, we wanted to give students a space to call their own! Now at the official location of Bloch Performing Arts: 271 Lincoln St Suite 10 Lexington\, MA 02421\, students will be able to have voice lessons\, piano lessons\, musicianship classes\, studio masterclasses\, and performance opportunities. \nOn Saturday October 10th at 11am-5pm\, please come and get to know our new space\, our current students and faculty\, and the community we’ve grown into! \nOur teaching philosophy is to give each student a creative\, healthy\, and efficient way to use their voice and instrument. No matter the style\, fostering a technique of complete vocal freedom and playing with easy musical communication is essential to our educational goals. Additionally\, music education is not only about discipline and growth\, but also about the growth of one’s personhood. Start with a guided walk of the Lexington Paint Mine from 9–10 AM\, then explore the Lexington Depot from 10 AM–4 PM and an outdoor cultural festival in Emery Park from 12–4 PM featuring Native artists\, music\, dance\, and family-friendly crafts. Created in partnership with Native Americans in Lexington and supported by the Community Endowment of Lexington and Pamela Fowler.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for a ghostly candlelight tour of Lexington’s oldest graveyard\, where the spirits of the past bring their stories back to life. Hear from figures including John Parker\, leader of the Lexington militia on April 19\, 1775\, and Sarah Childs\, who lost six children during an epidemic in 1778. For ages 5 and up; tours cover half a mile\, last approximately 45 minutes\, and depart every five minutes from Buckman Tavern between 6:30 and 7:15 PM.
