SUMMARY:LexGiving 5k Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:Since 2008\, the Lexington High School Cross Country / Track & Field program has hosted an “Alumni Race” on the same nearly all-road course the team has called home since 1970. Beginning in 2023\, in the interest of sharing the sport we love with the larger community\, the Cross Country / Track & Field team partnered with the LHS Wrestling team to host the race. Our teams are excited to welcome the running community to The Second Annual LexGiving 5k Run/Walk on Black Friday\, November 29th at 9am. All proceeds will go to the LHS Cross Country / Track & Field and Wrestling teams. \n  \nEntry Fees \n\nPre-Registration Race Fee: $35 \nDay of Event Race Fee: $40\nStudents & Seniors: $25\nTown of Lexington Employees & First Responders: $25\n\nEvent Swag \n\nParticipants who register before November 8th receive the official LexGiving 5k T-shirt\nRace T-shirts can be purchases through our online store or on race day for $20\nAll participants will receive one (1) 50/50 raffle ticket as part of their registration fee\n\nAwards \n\nMale winner\nFemale winner\nTop LHS alumni male\nTop LHS alumni female\nAge group awards will be issued to the top male and female finishers in the following categories:\n\n11 and under\n12-14 years old\n15-19 years old\n20-29 years old\n30-39 years old\n40-49 years old\n50-59 years old\n60-69 years old\n70 and over\n\n\n\nRace Route \n\nClick here to view 5k Course Map\n\nRace Day Photos \n\nPhotos will be taken throughout the race\nAll race day photos will be published and available to the public for FREE on our website at the completion of the event\n\nStrollers and dogs are welcome in the race\, lined up at the back of the starting pack to avoid collisions.
