Lexington Visitors Center at the Lexington Farmers Market

As Massachusetts moves through the dog days of summer, why not take a trip to Lexington to explore all the fun things happening in August?

Lexington Farmer’s Market 

The Lexington Farmer’s Market is open in August on Tuesdays from 2 pm to 6:30 pm at the Worthen Road Practice Field. Stop by on a Tuesday afternoon and shop for fresh fish, meat, poultry, vegetables, and fruits. You can also treat yourself to delicious baked desserts and tasty homemade breads.

Lexington Chamber of Commerce Summer Series

Emery Park hosts the Lexington Summer Concert series for the month of August, featuring bands like the Honey Steelers, Kadak Chai, and Gypsy Six.

Honey Steelers

On August 1, 2025, listen to the Honey Steelers, a Boston-based band that delivers a rich blend of Americana. In their signature sound, the band fuses pedal steel, mandolin, keys, guitar, and tight vocal harmonies, creating an unforgettable live experience. The Honey Steelers will perform original songs, reimagined covers, and heartfelt lullabies. 

Classic Groove

On August 8, 2025, Classic Groove will bring high energy and crowd-pleasing mixes of music like chart-topping R&B and Top 40 hits to smooth jazz, Latin rhythms, country favorites, and even show tunes. This year, Classic Groove will feature special guest Concetta! 

Kadak Chai

Join Boston’s Bollywood rock band Kadak Chai on August 15, 2025. Kadak Chai performs a fiery mix of Hindi, Tamil, Punjabi, Urdu, and English hits—from the golden oldies to today’s chart-toppers—all with a rock twist. The seven-member group includes guitars, drums, and powerhouse vocals.

Gypsy Six

On August 22, 2025, classic rock group Gypsy Six covers legends like the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Grateful Dead, Chris Stapleton, and Whiskey Myers. The band is sure to bring raw energy, killer guitar riffs, and a whole lot of heart to the Lexington stage.

Performances at Cary Hall

Cary Hall is set to host three events in August. This music hall, situated between the Lexington Town Hall and police station, is a historic building that showcases live music, comedy shows, and family programming. Cary Hall will host the following performers:

  • Jane Lynch and Kate Flannery: The Trouble with Angels
