Get Spooked in Lexington with These Four Events
October 2, 2024
Halloween is right around the corner and Lexington is ready to celebrate. Check out these four October events that are sure to give you a spookily good time.
Only Murders in the Tavern at Buckman Tavern
Are you a murder mystery fan? On October 5, at 7 pm, 2024, join other murder-mystery fans at Buckman Tavern for Only Murders in the Tavern, a Buckman Tavern Murder Mystery. In the spirit of Halloween, Buckman Tavern will host their monthly interactive Tavern Night with a murderous twist. Guests can enjoy food and drink while piecing together clues to find answers about a death at the tavern. Who did it and why? While costumes are encouraged for the event, they are not required.
Haunted Gingerbread House Workshop at Wilson Farm
While gingerbread houses are often a winter holiday activity, there are many ways to decorate a gingerbread house with spooky designs, just in time for Halloween. On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 5:30 pm, the Wilson Farm bakery staff will host a haunted gingerbread house workshop. At this fun event, you will learn how to decorate festive and spooky gingerbread houses, using frosting to paint pumpkins, ghosts, and other creatures.
Halloween Paint Nite at Aloft Lexington
Let your creative juices flow at Paint Nite at Aloft Lexington on October 18, 2024 at 7 pm. Guests will paint a spooky Halloween scene while eating, drinking, and socializing with others. All guests will have the opportunity to be voted for “Best Painting of the Night.” The winner will get a special prize.
Explore Spooky Historic Cemeteries
Two cemeteries to explore in Lexington hold a piece of Lexington’s past— the Ye Old Burying Ground and the Robbins Cemetery. The Ye Old Burying Ground has gravestones of Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers and veterans and the Robbins Cemetery has gravestones of Lexington families from the 18th century. If you visit these cemeteries during the month of October and believe in ghosts, you may even feel their presence!
