In celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the battles of Lexington and Concord, Lexington Pops Chorus presents “In Her Words: Songs of Courage, Unity, and Freedom”.

This concert, featuring eminent women composers, speaks of the struggle for equality and freedom, which is especially meaningful on Martin Luther King weekend. It is highlighted by the chorus’s 2013 commission by Gwyneth Walker, “The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere”.

Also featured:
“Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing” by J. Rosamund Johnson/arr. Heather Sorenson
“Goin’ To Boston”, arr. Alice Parker

“Give Me Your Tired, Your Poor” by Irving Berlin/words by Emma Lazarus
and much more!
