Indian Americans of Lexington (IAL) is celebrating its 2024 Diwali on October 19th 4:00-8:30 at Cary Hall. Diwali (also “Deepavali”) — the festival lights — is one of biggest festivals in India and is truly pan-Indian. Indian Americans of Lexington has been conducting the Diwali Fest since 1995 and has been one of the most popular events here in our community, drawing over 500 – 800 attendees with the past few years being sold out.
The celebration includes a variety of cultural programs by kids and adults, antakshari, flash mob dance, open floor dancing and henna.
