In March, colleges offer Spring Break— a week for students to take a break from classes, take a trip, or come home and get some much-needed relaxation. If you’re a college student from Lexington or a nearby town who is looking for some Spring Break ideas, try out a staycation in good ‘ole Lexington.

Take an Art Class

Any time is a great time to seek out artistic expression. Paint and sip on some alcohol at Pinot’s Palette or learn how to stain glass at LexArt. You can even learn how to knit and crochet at the yarn shop, Knit Tuck & Purl. If you’re just looking to explore some art, check out The Galaray House, an innovative and dynamic art gallery with a modern espresso bar.

Go On a Shopping Spree

You’ll find exactly what you’re looking for with Lexington’s wide range of stores. Explore the finest clothing and luxury quality items at The Dragonfly Boutique. Find the perfect piece of jewelry at Artinian Jewelry, shop for quality footwear at Michelson’s Shoes, or purchase a scented candle at the Crafty Yankee

Visit Museums

For history lovers looking to get a lesson in this Spring Break, Lexington has got you covered. Visit the Scottish Rite Masonic Museum and Library, where you can learn about American Freemasonry and fraternalism. Head to the Lexington Visitors Center for your first stop for all information about the town and its role in the American Revolution.

Note: While there are other museums in Lexington, some of them do not open until the end of March or the beginning of April. Head to https://www.tourlexington.us/listing-category/history/ to learn more.

Get Some Fresh Air

Say goodbye to the winter cold and say hello to the warmer spring months by getting outside. Bike or walk the Minuteman Commuter Bikeway, go golfing at Stone Meadow Golf or Pine Meadows Golf and hike through 50 miles of trails in Lexington’s Town Conservation Land and Open Space.

Drink Some Beer at Revolution Hall

Stop by Revolution Hall located right off the Minuteman Bike path. Here, you’ll find a self-pour beer wall and full-service bar (for those 21 and over), many delicious food options, and games. Plus, the hall also hosts different events throughout the year from trivia nights, dance lessons, and even live music by local bands. Enjoy the Garden ‘76 at Revolution Hall, a beer garden open year-round with outdoor seating and fire pits. Join friends and family as you eat some great food, drink some beer, wine, or cocktails, and play some games like ping pong and cornhole.

Note: Revolution Hall hosts many fun events throughout the week. Check out their calendar to learn about any events happening during Spring Break.

There’s so much to do in Lexington to make your Spring Break staycation fun.
